I just love working with wood! Wood fascinates me. Each piece of wood is individual and unique. I am not that well versed in the rare exotics but I have been working with wood (pine,fir,spruce,cedar,redwood,mahogany,oak,walnut,etc) for over 25 years. The way I see it there are four aspects to woodworking. Tools, material, finishes and methods. Quality tools designed for the job at hand are necessary. The wood must be carefully chosen to suit the project. Methods deal with how to start with raw material and end with a finished product. Woodwork must be finished to protect it from the four elements air, earth, water and fire.
